Tracking
Procedures
Upon receiving a product, a bar code label is printed
to identify each pallet as to its shipper, contents,
number of boxes, packing house, and destination. Once
a product has a bar code label, we are able to record
its every move through the use of hand-held wireless
data terminals which update database records and enable
"real time" validation checks and track its
location throughout our storage chain.
Through
our Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) the bar code technology
is extended to our clients own facility. The EDI system
is designed to provide faster order processing, less
paper work, and to give our clients more accurate control
and information every step of the way.
